The Junior State of
America is the largest student-run high school organization in America.
It is filled with members that are interested in politics, government,
debate, the law, and education. What is so special about JSA is that students
organize every aspect of it, from the school chapter level to national
administration.Junior State members also take part in three exciting overnight
conventions: Spring State, Congress, and Fall State, as detailed on the
Events page. Junior State conventions allow for an exchange of ideas through
student participation in debates, thought talks, problem solving, and
open forum discussions, in addition to various simulations, in addition
to social activities such as lunch, dinner, dances during the convention.
